Why Replace a Save Battery?
If your classic game won't save files then you should replace your battery. Old leaking game batteries can cause damage to the motherboard. This applies to SNES NES, Gameboy Pokemon etc.
Send in your dead game for a professionally installed new battery.
* Note: I can not replace batteries in EA (yellow tab) Genesis games. Ask if in doubt.
